Membership is very important to WKPS as its authority in dealing with planning matters is enhanced by having a large and active membership. We also need volunteers to help on projects to protect the biodiversity that makes the Weald.
We are an all-volunteer organisation, so we need a core of active members to give life, vigour and force to our efforts. Please join and support us – you might need us one day!
Each member is entitled to:
- Information on planning and development matters
- Monthly planning newsletters can be accessed on the website
- Involvement in local and national consultations on planning and environmental issues
- Updates on proposals affecting your community
- Participation in social events and meetings
- Two newsletters a year to keep you informed on the issues of the day
We are an independent organisation that is dependent on no one but our members for our funds. We are not beholden to any outside interests. However, where we think it will be beneficial to do so, we do work with other recognised environmental organisations to give the greatest impact to our efforts.
Our credibility, experience and knowledge have repeatedly proved invaluable since we were founded. However, we are only as good as our volunteers. So – if you care for the Weald of Kent and care about its future, please join!
